Who Am I?  Who Will I Be?

And fear not them which kill the body,

but are not able to kill the soul (Matthew 10:28)

The Super New Moon in Taurus on Sunday, 27th April coincides with the last of three exact oppositions between Mars (God of War, assertion, action) and Pluto (power, control, God of Death, transformation).  These oppositions first occurred in Leo/Aquarius, the second across Cancer/Capricorn and for the finale back to Leo/Aquarius, but with the added focus that this time they square the New Moon, which is also a powerful SuperMoon (very close to the Earth).  This T-square takes place across Fixed signs; just like a strong man tug-of-war, everyone in play has their heels dug in and no-one intends to budge an inch.     This is strong, powerful, wilful energy, and the added effect of the Moon at one of its closest points to Earth increases the ebb and flow of both tides and emotions.  Locality wise the New Moon has specific increased effects on the West coasts of Canada and the USA, particularly the area around Los Angeles and Las Vegas further inland, which could indicate seismic earth activity.

There are no retrograde planets at this New Moon and Venus, the ruler of both Sun and Moon, is situated towards the end of Pisces, where she is exalted and is waiting with Saturn to follow Neptune into Aries by the May New Moon.   So, this period of April/May is very ‘loaded’ in terms of strong, wilful energy.   Added into the mix, Venus is currently a morning star, rising ahead of the Sun.  In this position she might be in soft fluffy Pisces, but she is strong – she becomes a warrior queen rather than a handmaiden.   In short, we have the last of three powerful aspects of Mars and Pluto, alongside an ‘exalted’ Venus who is in warrior mode.   That does not augur a peaceful, quiet New Moon.  As I write this, I am hearing that there is a potential peace deal between Ukraine and Russia.   As I spoke in a previous blog, the solar eclipse in March could require President Zelensky to give up something.   If everyone involved is too fixed and stubborn then it won’t happen.  But if they do sign a deal during this period of Fixed energy, I would say that it has a chance of lasting.

At the May Full Moon in Scorpio on May 12th the Sun and Moon are situated opposite each other, as they always are when the Moon is full.   The Sun is accompanied by Uranus who sits with the evil star Algol.  Algol takes its name from the Arab word meaning the Demon’s Head – symbolised by the gorgon Medusa with her hair of hissing snakes.  The Moon is in Scorpio, ruled by Mars who is still in range of his opposition to Pluto.  This may well prove to be a period of strong, forceful energy characterised by sudden and maybe shocking events (Uranus).  A leader might lose his/her head.

And I am hearing of imminent plans for the UK Government to fund a project to dim the Sun to counteract warming.   This in my opinion will act more as a normalisation of actions that are already happening and indeed have been for many years.  It reflects the hubris of Mars/Pluto energy in Leo/Aquarius, and the Sun/Uranus/Algol aspect.  The Sun is our absolute life force, giving us our vitality.  We have no idea what the effects on our health and the future survival of humanity will be, and I hope that there is a big push-back on this meddling with nature.  We’ve all seen a day begin with clear blue skies.  Then the white criss-cross lines appear, and the skies quickly cloud over.  Do we really want to hand this type of power over to our politicians?   Who indeed will be in charge of the air we breathe, the food supply and the survival of both humans and animals?

By the May New Moon in Gemini on May 27th, however, the Mars/Pluto opposition has moved out of range, taking the heat out of one area, but now finally Saturn has moved into Aries to be with Neptune.   Although they do not perfect their conjunction until February 2026, they are for sure conjunct in Aries.   We now just wait until June for Uranus to enter Gemini and for the triangle aspect between the outer planets – Saturn, Neptune, Uranus and Pluto - to begin, along with a new chapter potentially for humanity.

Humanity has evolved since the days we were first on Earth as hunter-gatherers.  Life then was very much based on survival and understanding the rhythms of nature.  Man was naturally connected with these rhythms, as were animals, instinctively.   But gradually life became more organised and structured and, as we arrived at the Scientific Revolution in the 1700’s, everything had to be explained by science and the ‘experts’.  This would eventually have the effect of the disconnect with nature we now have.  We no longer eat seasonally, and we even disconnect with time as we alter the clocks backwards and forwards.    Many have no idea about the origins of their foods; our typical western diet is very ultra processed, and we have many illnesses that we can’t explain, so we just call them ‘auto immune’.   Cancer and heart issues are on the rise – and the medical profession is either unable or unwilling to give a true cause.

Since the mid 1800’s when we began a new Jupiter/Saturn era in the element of Earth we have seen a marked interest in the workings of our minds and brains.   Carl Jung, Sigmund Freud and Ivan Pavlov have all left their mark on our understanding of how our minds work and how our behaviours can be influenced, alongside a subsequent interest from those who do not have our collective wellbeing at heart.   Some of the biggest influences have come from the cinema and television, bringing an obsession with celebrity and ultimately with image; the latter particularly since Neptune’s entry into his own realm of Pisces in 2011/12.

Just prior to the May New Moon, Saturn and Neptune will be conjunct in Aries.  As I said earlier, it is not the exact perfection at 0 Aries, but it is extremely close.   Conjunctions of Saturn and Neptune can be times of epidemics and what I see at the moment is a kind of epidemic, but one that emanates predominantly from people’s minds rather than a virus – an epidemic of anxieties.  Our bodies are having to process the intake of ultra-processed food with zero nutrition, so we eat more and more in an effort to get the nutrition we really need.   We get fat but we can’t stop the eating of unsuitable food or the intake of alcohol. Miraculously we have a ‘fat jab’, the use of which is promoted by the celebrity culture, feeding the addiction to image and a quick fix, all of which feed into the anxiety epidemic.

We can also see the desire by some for human biology to merge with technology.   Data is the latest gold and, once enough data is collected, the unscrupulous will not stop until they know where we are, who we are and what our habits and beliefs are; right down to what we are thinking and feeling.  We are at a point in history where we have never been quite so surreptitiously assaulted, both mentally and physically.

Our minds are being influenced, and children are hugely targeted.  They are targeted in terms of their identity and the beliefs that they are encouraged to adopt at a very young age.   Even Mao Tse Tung was aware of using sex and gender as he did during the Cultural Revolution.  Smart cities are being designed for full spectrum surveillance.   And electronic hardware appears to be deliberately distorting natural systems, contorting the mind and breaking human bonds, particularly within the family unit.

Yuri Bezmenov, a former KGB defector, warned the West of a plan to defeat America through psychological warfare and demoralisation.  He described this as a ‘long game’ that would take decades to achieve over specific stages.  First would come demoralisation by undermining the moral and ethical foundations of society.  This would be followed by the weakening of institutions and structures within society, which would lead to levels of anxiety and feelings of insecurity.  The third stage would consist of crisis in some form such as political upheaval, social unrest or economic collapse.  Society then becomes used to a new form of cultural identity and values but has become so confused and undermined that whether information is true or not is no longer of importance.   “A person who is demoralized is unable to assess true information. The facts tell nothing to him.  Even if I shower him with information, with authentic proof, with documents, with pictures he will refuse to believe it”.   If the message conflicts with the desires that have been fed into the minds, then the messages will be ignored in favour of the ‘influenced’ desires.

We can link this with the word ‘menticide’, which refers to effort made to undermine and destroy an individual’s values and beliefs.  It is the psychological equivalent of genocide.  The mind is killed through manipulation, propaganda and psychological intervention often with the goal of destroying or controlling a person’s thoughts and beliefs. Our minds are literally being raped.  The drug soma, which was used to alleviate feelings of unhappiness, was highlighted in Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World.  Today we look for narcotics and alcohol to anaesthetise ourselves from our pains.   Alternatively, we resort to watching the TV, surfing social media or to extreme exercise – all are forms of escapism from reality.  But Saturn/Neptune in Aries is almost here – after the Pisces’ fluffiness and delusion, it may prove to be a reality shock for some.

The key to the success of the ‘menticide’ has of course been the internet, and here we see Saturn and Neptune at work again.  The last conjunction in 1989 in Capricorn saw the beginnings of an authoritative control (Saturn) that would pervade absolutely everywhere (Neptune) with the beginning of the worldwide web.  DARPA, the research and development wing of the US Department of Defence and DARPA would go on to be a key contributor to the initiative of researching the mapping, control and manipulation of the brain because of what was seen as the future of the internet within mind-computer symbiosis – the marriage of technology with the mind.  The positive social side effects, such as helping disabled people to function again, have been promoted, e.g. Elon Musk’s Neuralink.   But one of the main studies was on weaponry and warfare in the form of neuroweapons, where soldiers would be able to control weapons with their minds.  We only need to listen to James Giordano, Professor of Neurology, talking on the subject to feel chilled to the bone.[1]

I speak on this not to put people into fear mode but to bring our minds and our thoughts into some kind of conscious awareness of what is happening around us so that we can discover the resilience of our essential innate natures.  By bringing this knowledge into our consciousness we can focus on the current fundamental dynamics.  We can have knowledge of the morals of where this might take us but must always return to the present and focus on who we are innately on a soul level.   There may well be wars being waged on our minds, and not one of us is totally immune.  But, if we are aware of this, we can at least attempt to ensure that our beliefs are ours via research and our own critical thinking.  In this way we can try to protect our souls by developing our own resilience and our own sense of internal strength as we try to be who we really are rather than what someone else wants us to be.  We may want to use technology for our benefit, but we don’t want a future where we are controlled by it.
